Forget Chorkor Trotro!!! Funny Face (@funnyfacegh) Joins Starr FM (@Starr1035Fm)

A few days after confirming that he had quit his hugely popular role on TV sitcom , Chorkor Trotro, Funny Face looks set for a new chapter in his career as he heads over to the newly-established radio station, Starr FM.

In what is set to become the biggest urban radio onslaught, the station has gone in hard in a large top dog-swoop that is somewhat scary.

Funny Face, who is returning to radio years after he appeared on Adom FM’s Evening Drive show, with Abeiku Santana, broke the news on his instagram page on Thursday when he posted a picture of himself at Star FM with the caption, ‘Breaking news, I have always wanted ti do radio and tv.

Happy my radio version is about to start.Starr FM about to take over.Simply the best.’. He further posted a photo of himself and Bola Ray, who is said to hold a top position at the new radio station and wrote, ‘Its about time..GH Radio airwaves about to get better and Bigger.all praise to Jehovah.


Station sources are tight lipped on which programme or segment he would appear on but Starr FM will commence full-scale broadcast in September. As at now he will be on air on Fridays and Saturday .. Time will be put out soon for listeners . The comedian and actor joins an impressive list of personalities who have since signed up to work with the outfit, which began a month-long test transmission this week.

Bola Ray, Kafui Dey, Jon Germain, Nii Ayi Tagoe, DJ Blow, Dennis Mirpuri, Kwaku Obeng Adjei, Sammy Darko and Henry Twum Asante among other big names have joined.

Other names include GHOne Tv’s Naa Ashorkor, Kafui Dei, Patrick Ayimu, and Kent Mensah, all formerly of the Adabraka-based, Citi FM.
