Praye ready to celebrate 10th anniversary

Fans of Praye currently made up of Eugene Baah (Praye Honeho) and Steven Fiawoo (Praye Tietia) should brace themselves for exciting treat from the duo as they line up a repertoire of musical concerts to celebrate their 10 years of being in the game.

As expected, Praye has put in place exciting concerts that will keep their fans busy throughout the year as their appreciation for their support all these years and the fun galore they hinted begins from Easter festivities.

For Praye Tietia, 10 years in the life of hip life artistes in Ghana is no mean feat and are prepared to celebrate it in a grand style. According to him, Praye will give music lovers a feel of what to expect when they hit the road for their nationwide tour concert this September. Prior to that, during the Easter celebrations they will be in “full action”. We are putting things together and will announce the dates for our shows soon.
“We have been on the silent for some time and our fans are wondering if we are out of game but that is not so. We needed to take some time off to rebrand the group and we will bounce back in style this year” Praye Tietia said.

The Praye group which then included Praye Tenten shot to fame when they won the maiden edition of Nescafe African Revelation contest in 2004.

They adopted the name, Praye to symbolise their belief in the traditional role of broom which is unity, to reflect their belief in combining their different and unique talents.

Their witty and poetic lyrics immediately won the hearts of many Ghanaians and their highly anticipated debut album, Mfitiasee became an instant hit.

Currently, they have five albums to their credit. They are ‘Mfitiasee’, ‘Kakyire’, ‘Roll Call’, ‘Fourth Gear’ and ‘New Testament’ which is yet to be released.
