How Much Do Reality Show Judges Earn?

When it comes to money matters in Ghana, wife`s and husbands do not even tell the truth to each other no matter how blissful their marriage has been.

In last week`s edition of Ghana`s entertainment newspaper Flex, we started a series to uncover how our reality show judges in Ghana are earning.

The story started with information on how much  international reality show judge Simon Cowell earns and we were able to come out with straight figures to prove a point.

The hectic journey in Ghana started and this was the response we had from our reality show judges. First of all, it is prudent that we let readers know that most of the judges Flex newspaper spoke to were not ready to discuss their earnings publicly.
According to them, they were not too sure if their employers will be happy reading in the newspaper that they have made public their earning on the show which is being sponsored by some corporate entities.

God being so good, one renowned judge and a pioneer at that gave us some information regarding how much he earns, but he wants to remain anonymous. It was good to us like that so let`s share with you our dear reader.

According to this judge who has been working with a television station on their reality show from day one, he has confirmed to Flex newspaper that he earns Ghc.30,000 from each reality season and that has been his fee for sometime. Unfortunately, he says he does not even get this fee all in cash as some portions of it are given to him as airtime for sale.

“In my case, I am being paid Ghc.30,000 after every season but they don't give me the money in bulk as they quantity portion of the money in airtime for me. I must say that I am alright because sometimes I make good business out of the airtime they give me so I have no problem there at all.

You should also note that this might not be the case for many of our judges as some get their fair share from what they do with their reality show business” Flex newspaper was told.  Now as to whether our judges are satisfied or not, rich or poor, we could not get to the bottom of this story but we hope one day, issues will bring some of these hidden information out for public consumption.

THE END!!!
