Welcome to your regular dose of ‘A PIECE OF PEACE’! I believe we are all born to be great in our own way, and life is a journey laced with a series of lessons to enable you to unlock your inner greatness! So stayed tuned for a personal insight on tips, information and advice aimed to inspire and motivate that I am discovering as I embark on my journey to unlocking my inner greatness. I hope it helps you as it is helping me!
Today I would like to share on the topic: MORE MOVES, LESS ANNOUNCEMENTS!
What is your benchmark for success? We often use different reference points to determine how well we are doing in our life. For example, if everyone around us is getting married and we are not, then it means we are failing in the relationship aspect of our lives. Similarly, if we see everyone having children and celebrating baby showers we may find ourselves depressed because our time has not yet arrived.
In our day to day interactions with people, we realise there are those who go out of their way to announce every amazing thing that is happening to them. They feel the need to show that they are also enjoying great success in their lives and hope everyone can acknowledge this fact too. We can let our emotions get carried away when we see people’s announcements of their success. We may feel down because it may appear our lives are not as grand and beautiful as those being painted to us. But remember, you do not need to publicise your achievements to the world to gain credibility. You are a testament of how far you have already come in life.
What people choose to show us about their lives, may not always be as exciting as it seems. Do not use other people’s announcements about their lives to be your reference point for happiness. You have so much to be thankful for. The fact that you made it to today is in itself nothing short of a miracle. Be content with God’s blessings in your life. What ever success is coming your way will happen at the right time and not a moment too soon. People always project a better version of their situation than what the reality is. So try not to fall victim to boastful announcements by other people. It is better to be quiet and let your blessings shine instead of forcing to make proclamations to the world about how blessed you are.Today I would like to share on the topic: MORE MOVES, LESS ANNOUNCEMENTS!

In everything you do today, always remember, empty barrels usually make the most noise simply because they have nothing of value to show in their actions. God’s blessings is made perfect for every single one of us. Whenever you are down because you feel you are not quite where you should be in your life, just take a step back and consider how far you have already come. You will notice that, there is absolutely no announcements needed. It is a given, you are extremely blessed.
Be yourself, everyone else is taken.
