‘Freestyle For Free’ Goes To James Town On May Day

On May Day, at James Town in Accra, “See The Future Tour” will stage the holiday edition of Free Style For Free at the famous Mantse Agbona Park.

The Free Style For Free concerts is unearthing new talents as well as bringing together young creative minds to explore their various potentials. The Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana will power the concert with an outdoor jam for the people of James Town to “share coke” and celebrate their young acts in creative arts while showcasing their talents to the world.

James Town is a historical town along the coast and is generally known for the James fort prison, fishing, boxing and entertainment. Young and raw as well as old and accomplished artists/performers are expected to assemble at Manste Agbona Park to showcase their talents in a Free Style.

“The people of James Town are known to be fun lovers and a great crowd to perform to and generally musicians love to entertain this joyous crowd” director of the tour, Kester Aburam Korankye said. “We want to provide a platform, equally huge, for up and coming performers and also for persons whose talents are alternative to those we normally see on stages at entertainment events in Accra,” he added.
The expected large audience will be treated to free style performances ranging from; Dance, Rap, poetry recitals, comedy, acrobatic displays, magic display, music, painting, drawing etc.

The tour will make four other stops around Accra with similar concerts at Dansoman, La, East Legon and Madina at later dates.
