Several months after he has been missing in action in Ghana’s music industry; SK Originale, born Sokpo Kwaku Mawuli, is back and promises to stir the music scene like never before.
The Togolese born Ghanaian musician has a number of interesting songs to release in the course of the year and to start with is his new single titled, ‘Sugar’.
What’s not clear is if the song will not face eminent opposition from industry powers, who have in recent times been pushing an agenda to start censoring musical contents.
But the song, which was released some weeks ago, is gradually picking up.
It treats the themes of love and the substance of Ghanaian and African music in general, saying Ghanaian music is original.The Togolese born Ghanaian musician has a number of interesting songs to release in the course of the year and to start with is his new single titled, ‘Sugar’.

SK also devoted major part of the song to his lover. “I love you baby, your thing dey sweet me like sugar, sugar. Somebody’s daughter, your thing is sweet like sugar.”
He is yet to explain the content of his song, especially what he referred to as “thing.” Meanwhile, some persons have already drawn their own profane conclusions.
SK is well remembered for his controversy with Nana Boroo over the ownership of hit song, ‘Aha aye de’.
He was born the August 22nd, 1984 in Lome, Togo and attended Saint Augustine D’Armoutieve Junior High School in Togo. His music talent was discovered at an early age when he started singing at churches and at various social functions.
