Fennec Okyere Death: Police mount investigations

Police have launched investigations into the death of Fennec Okyere, who until his death, was the manager of hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese.

Police personnel were dispatched to the area following reports of the his death.

Forensic experts were also at the house to collect pieces of evidence and locked up the house before transporting the body to the Korle Bu morgue just after noon.

The house has been sealed and is restricted to the public as it is now a crime scene.

Fennec's bedroom was scattered, and according to the caretaker of the house who was out of the house when the incident occurred, he found his ‘master’ Fennec lying in a pool of blood.
According to him, nothing was stolen, but the scattered papers in the room could only suggest that the suspects were looking for some documents.

Some neighbours say they heard voices of argument and sounds of struggles from the victim's residence in the wee hours of Thursday morning, but because there was power outage in the area, no one ventured to find out more...not until this morn," Abeiku Santana of Okay FM and a close friend of Fennec recounted.

Meanwhile, it is unclear whether or not Fennec was shot. Those who visited the house say they only saw the body in a pool of blood, hence, it could be that he was stabbed, as there was no bullet anywhere. Also, the serenity of the area would have let out the sound of the gun, unless a silent pistol was used.

Fennec leaves behind a wife and newly-born baby. His wife was staying with her mother when the incident occurred.
