If there is one area of the rap game that 50 Cent knows well, it's beef. Fif has gotten into lyrical spats with tons of rappers, which makes him an expert of sorts on Jay Z's not-so-subliminal shot at Drake on Jay Electronica's "We Made It" freestyle.
"I think it's just getting started, but you know what? It's interesting," G-Unit's head boss told the Russ Parr Morning Show. "I think you’re supposed to rap about things that are in your actual life. But those are laws that were a part of our culture when I actually came in and fell in love with it. But it’s old school [now]. The kid's don't actually care.”
Hov went at Drizzy for his comments in Rolling Stone. The Toronto rapper called Jay out for bragging about his art collection and Mr. Carter hit back with, "Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk / Silly me, rappin' 'bout s--t that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain't shot / And a bunch of other silly s--t that they ain't got."
The track has been streamed over 50,000 times in less than a week and Drake hasn't dropped a rebuttal (he's busy on tour in Europe with Rihanna by his side)."I think it's just getting started, but you know what? It's interesting," G-Unit's head boss told the Russ Parr Morning Show. "I think you’re supposed to rap about things that are in your actual life. But those are laws that were a part of our culture when I actually came in and fell in love with it. But it’s old school [now]. The kid's don't actually care.”

If Fif were in the OVO rapper's shoes, he wouldn't stay silent. "I think I would respond to it," he said before slowing that down. "I don't know, it depends. Sometimes it has to be the right timing surrounding the response."
Things could get so out of hand that lines might even be drawn, joked the "Don't Worry 'Bout It" spitter. "It might actually create a separation here, people," he predicted. "Where there's the team Rih Rih and Drake on one side and Jay and B[eyoncé] on the other side."
While Fif's theory is interesting, chances are the student (Drake) won't be coming for the master (Jay). The "All Me" rapper isn't known to respond to every single diss launched his way (he's had lots of them throughout his career) and he has a deep admiration for Hovito.
Before he critiqued Jay's flow in Rolling Stone, Drake told Hot 97 that his relationship with the Roc leader "is probably one of the strongest, if not the strongest" connections he has with anybody in rap.
