Sarkodie has finally launched his third studio album, ‘Sarkology’ with a thrilling concert with the same title at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Award winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu, popularly known as Sarkodie was joined by over 15,000 fans in a mammoth concert at the Accra Sports Stadium to release his third album - Sarkology.
The Sarkology Release Concert, held Saturday night followed a successful Rapperholic Concert last year which saw the release of his second album 'Rapperholic'.
Thousands of avid Sarkodie fans thronged the Stadium in their numbers to watch the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Award winner give off what has been described as his best performance yet.
Prior to Sarkodie hitting the stage, several Ghanaian acts including Stay Jay, Scizo, Dee Money, and Kwaw Kese took turns to dish out some exciting hits to wet the appetite of fans.
Kwaw Kese's entry onto the stage was very timely as the show had suffered a string of poor performances. The venue erupted the very second the 'King of the Streets' joined Dee Money to perform 'Money Talks'.
After that performance, Kwaw Kese took over, with the help of his brother, Budda, to deliver some of his well known tunes including, 'Ma Kwaw', 'Nonsense', 'Deemus', 'Poppin', 'The World' and 'Let Me Do My Thing.'
Kwao Kesse's departure marked the beginning of the real deal. Eight strong dancers dressed in military camo hit the stage. Backed by Osibisa's 'Welcome Home' blazing in the background, Sarkodie burst onto the stage with such energy. The crowd went gaga!
Dressed in all white, the Tema-based rapper went straight work treating fans to his lyrics filled 'Original' track.
Sarkodie thrilled the teeming fans to an unbridled hits of his songs from his genesis till date.
The impressive playlist of hit tunes included 'Life', 'Saa Okodie No Nie', 'Elijah', 'Pizza and Burger', 'When I Grow Up', 'Illuminati', 'Sherifa', 'Lay Away', 'Bounce', 'Baby', 'Give It To Me', and 'Onyame Ehyira'.
Sarkodie was intermittently joined on stage by Efya to perform 'In Love With You Now' and 'Devil Inside Me'; Raquel to perform 'Sweetio' and 'Hold On'; Joey B to perform 'Tonga', which they were forced to repeat; and Fuse ODG to perform 'Down On One'.
