DJ Carlos has proven to have talent on mixing and sympathizing music when he was listed and recommended by industry players on the Ghanaian music scene.
His mission is to share the love and connection music is built on while bringing together music scenes that co-exist but don’t often mix simply put he knows how to work magic when mixing.
“I love my work as a DJ because this was the dream from day one, played at the best shows, tour with huge artists, and promotde African music everywhere I go. I am living that dream now”, he said.
Born Ntim Boahen Carlos, DJ Carlos is finally happy Ghana music has taken it rightful place in the heart of Ghanaians. “The feeling I get when I am behind the desks teasing audience with Ghanaian music is just amazing considering the energy the audience give back. It used not to be this way in the beginning of my journey as a DJ because Nigerian music was dominating Ghana music and until you drop a Nigerian track, the party never came alive”, he said.
DJ Carlos now resident DJ for award winning group VIP, he started working with Paradise Entertainment which at the time was holding artistes including 4x4, Tiffany, Mzbel and his current BDN team Vision In Progress.His mission is to share the love and connection music is built on while bringing together music scenes that co-exist but don’t often mix simply put he knows how to work magic when mixing.

As one of the most in demand Djs in Ghana, DJ is poised to take Ghanaian music and his deejaying skills to the next level. “It’s amazing how Ghanaians are only interested in partying with mainly Ghanaian artists now. I saw this coming but I never knew it was going to be at this magnitude”, he continued.
“When I was playing at Boomerang and Aphrodisiac Nite club, I felt at a point Ghanaians were being starved danceable music and the Nigerians were the once doing all the danceable music. The people had no option but to step out and find the music that could satisfy them. But I am glad our artists now get it and make more danceable music than ever”, he said.
As DJ he makes plays music that rock the coolest clubs. He uniquely and boldly treads a tightrope most DJs wouldn’t dare to traverse too: the line between being an underground DJ and having huge crossover success.
DJ Carlos knows what touches people; taking his deejaying to events such as played at the 4syte TV Music Video Awards, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Big Brother Africa, Channel O Awards, Nigeria Music Awards, British Council show in Tamale, 020 Live, 233 Connect Concert and still looking to break more grounds.
Technically DJ Carlos is one of the most impressive DJs in the Ghanaian music scene now. Almost remixing records live, he makes loops, slams tracks together that you’d never think would go and uses vocals over other instrumentals. His sets are so dynamic that at times it’s difficult to see how he can keep the energy up. To put it simply, DJ Carlos creates moments.
