Evictions on the Miss Malaika beauty pageant reality show has never been an easy task for the contestants alone but the host as well who the bearer of the bad news. Past evictions has always seen the delegates being emotional and breaking down in tears, this year’s eviction was no different as some delegates even fell sick prior to the eviction time.
Hearts were palpitating, palms were sweating, the tension filled the room as the one million dollar question was hanging in the air and in the minds of the delegates….Who will be evicted?
PaJohn Bentsifi Dadson and Ama Nettey ( Miss Malaika 2010) tried calming the nerves of the delegates by interacting with them. Some delegates appeared calm and confident of not going home whiles some delegates showed fear, doubts and possibility of being evicted.
From the interactions, all eleven delegates said whether they get evicted or not, they will forever be grateful for being given the chance to be part of the prestigious Miss Malaika beauty pageant as they have seen tremendous improvement in their self-esteem, public speaking, tolerance and their x factor qualities.
Before the eviction, the winners of the various tasks were announced and this helped ease the tension in the air. Best Cultural display was won by Naa Oyoe who performed the naming ceremony rites of the Gas. Best Photo Career picture went to Betty who also won Best Cat walk for the Fashion Nite. Lois dressed by Agambi Clothing won the Best designs for the Fashion Nite and also the Best Lux Commercial.
The moment of truth was near and at this point, there were no smiles on the faces of the delegates. Twumwaa, Prsicilla, Lois, Naa Oyoe, Betty, Selma and Yoda were the top seven delegates who swerved eviction and were calmly waiting for the other three delegates to join them on the other side of the stage.Hearts were palpitating, palms were sweating, the tension filled the room as the one million dollar question was hanging in the air and in the minds of the delegates….Who will be evicted?

The bottom four were Aisha, Abigail, Eugenia and Lordina, all four delegates were surprised to be up for eviction as they campaigned vigorously for votes. One could see disappointment, confusion and betrayal registered on the faces of these delegates as some thought they had no business in the bottom four.
At the end of the nite, Eugenia Babonye bid farewell amidst tears from the top ten delegates. Eugenia after being evicted wore a broad smile and told her friends not to cry for her, she wished them the best of luck and said “you ladies better make me proud”. The news of Eugenia’s eviction came as a shock to some of the delegates whose mouth dropped when Eugenia’s name was mentioned. Another mighty hawk from the camp of Ohemma Group mentored by Hamamat has fallen, kudos to Eugenia for her journey on Miss Malaika 2013.
