Ghana’s Frank Kwarteng makes Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat Top 16 finalists

It appears that Frank Kwarteng is Ghana’s only hope in the Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat Top 16 after the list was  announced this weekend.

After several weeks of auditioning, 16 finalists have been shortlisted in the  rap competition which would be host in Nigeria in the coming weeks.

These 16 contestants will now move on to the next stage to compete for the cash prize of $20, 000.

The contestants are Nasir Abubakar, Samuel Falowo,Frank Kwarteng; Charles Ugochukwu Opara; Muyiwa Adebayo; Francis Ikhine; Chukwuebuka Dusten Anyasie; Bobai Bitiyong; Henry Chukwu; Samuel Falowo; Idowu Michael Kayode; Anthony Chukwuma Isamade; Muhammed Nasir Abubakar; Henry Onazi; Oshodin Imadeode Israel; Golden Worlu; Emmanuel Egwere and Miekharry Adefemi Brice; from Nigeria and Ghana respectively, made it this far by tweeting a rap line each, using one of the key features of the Asha 210 smartphone with the hashtag, #DBDB2013 and also post their rap lines on Facebook.

In this next stage, they will record their rap performance which would be uploaded on Nokia Nigeria Facebook page to attract votes.
