The much awaited yearly arts and culture festival, Bless The Mic was today launched at Alliance Francaise, the launch which took the form of a press conference saw the distinguished presence of Mr. Michael Attipoe from the Commision on Arts and Culture, Mr. Patrice ( Director of Alliance Francaise ) with PY Addo Boateng (Director, Mi Prime Entertainment and producers of the event), Ameyaw Debrah of ameywadebrah.com a celebrity blogger, a representative from Dunk amongst others.
The launch placed the spotlight on the key activities for this year’s celebrations which is set to roll tomorrow 21 September 2013 at the Community park , Kawukudi, with a celebrity basketball game in collaboration with Dunk an NGO for charity, the event will witness the likes of Wanlov, Van Vicker amongst others.
PY Addo Boateng in his summary address to the press stated that the activities after tomorrow will involve more from diverse arts and culture; Tuesday 24th, 2013 Circus Ciedefracto at the Amphitheatre of Alliance Francaise, Wednesday 25th, 2013 Acoustic & Poetry Night, Tuesday 24th – Thursday 26th Annual Music Forum, it follows on to Friday 27th HIP-HOP Concert at the Amphitheatre, Alliance Francaise then the grand finale fun day to crown the celebrations on Saturday 28th with the scheduled Kids Village Day Festival in the day and Live Concert the Amphitheatre of Alliance Francaise in Accra.The launch placed the spotlight on the key activities for this year’s celebrations which is set to roll tomorrow 21 September 2013 at the Community park , Kawukudi, with a celebrity basketball game in collaboration with Dunk an NGO for charity, the event will witness the likes of Wanlov, Van Vicker amongst others.
The unveiling of a new Bless The Mic logo took the center stage of affairs when all media personnel present took turns on capturing a well-made 3D Art from metal and wood. Adding to the essence of the event, Ameyaw Debrah reiterated that Bless The Mic has supported the development of underground talents in the arts and needs support, he further stated that individuals adding to the growth of the arts industry like comedy and spoken words should not relent.
The panelist expressed their delight and mentioned that the festival should be supported for its fundamental purpose of given a platform for the development of underground talents in the arts.
The event promises to bring much more action and fun than previous ones and organisers have promised that set backs from last years event will not be repeated at this year’s 5th anniversary jam-packed activities; patrons are adviced to visited the social media platforms of Bless The Mic and Switch Ghana for realtime updates and information on various events.
