Ghanaian afrobeats stars D-Black , Fuse ODG & Joey B were featured on this weeks edition BBC World News in a special on the afrobeats craze taking over the United Kingdom. After headlining their first U.K Concert in June, Black Avenue Muzik rap acts D-Black & Joey B were featured via performances from their concert at the O2 Arena hosted by DJ Abrantee. Performing to a teeming crowd their hits including Alhaji, VERA, Strawberry Ginger, Chop Kenkey and more.
Antennae hit maker FUSE ODG was also prominently featured as BBC reporter 'Lebo Diseko' interviewed him in regards the Afrobeats trend of music taking over the U.K. Ghanaian born, UK Afrobeats/ Choice F. UK D.J , DJ
Abrantee speaks on the genre he helped make popular in the U.K as well.
In the 1970s the late Nigerian musician Fela Kuti revolutionised African music with the style he coined Afrobeat.
