As creatives our survival is based on our freelance and independent work. We work as teams, closely collaborating with each other to share our stories, keep people entertained and pass on a message to an audience that has always been willing to encourage our creativity.
Social
distancing is alien to us. We thrive on face-to-face contact on our
film sets, we share and shape our ideas over long meetings and we
constantly travel in search of the location and talent for our next
creative project.
2020 has compelled us to adjust, and through all of this we find joy in the knowledge that the works we have been able to create contribute to making our world just a little bit better to live in, despite the circumstances.
The demand for the work we have already done is reaching unprecedented levels as people are consuming as much as they can of books, films, television shows, music, dance—to escape and to forget the reality of this virus.

Emirates Sets Industry-leading Safety Standard For Customers Travelling As It Resumes Operations
Emirates has unveiled multi-faceted measures for employee and customer care at every step of the travel journey, redefining safety and hygiene standards on board and on the ground. The new measures took effect today, with the resumption of regularly scheduled passenger flights to nine destinations.
“Emirates is implementing a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the traveller’s journey, to enhance the sanitisation of all touchpoints, and ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees. The risk of catching an infection on an aircraft is already very low, but we have spared no effort in reviewing and redesigning every step, from check-in to disembarkation. Every measure implemented is an additional reduction in risk, and taken altogether, our aim is really to make flying as safe as possible.
“We are working with all the stakeholders in Dubai - including the airport, immigration, health and aviation authorities to implement such measures, and we will continue to review and consult expert advice for any development and changes. We are all aware that we have to adapt to different practices during this pandemic in our day to day activities.
All these measures, in combination with the proactive pandemic management strategies that the UAE has taken, show the seriousness with which we are taking the health and safety of our local and global communities and will give confidence to the public,” said Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer.

Kinaata, Joe Mettle, Efya And Others To Perform At VGMA Covid-19 Heroes Concert
Covid-19, as we all know, has stolen our right to free movement and social gathering, and in some cases, the very lives of our dear ones. The virus has thrown normal life out of the window, gripped man with immense fear and brought the leadership of a confident world to its knees, in search for answers.
Ghana’s steps in combating the virus have been remarkable, demonstrated by the shutting down of our borders, mandatory quarantine, partial lockdown, contact tracing, and the securing of logistics to empower frontline health workers to adequately deal with the virus.
While great leadership, and our united effort as a people has brought us this far, one cannot help but recognize the selfless and fearless efforts of the frontline health workers whose continuous fight against the virus has restored hope to all. They stand tall as the real heroes, and as such deserve to be celebrated.

Agnes Ntow Issues An Official Statement On Her YFM Departure
After 7 years of presenting shows on YFM, Agnes Ntow is no longer with Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC). She joins Joel, Caroline Sampson, Dj Snoop, Blaque Boy, and Ms. Naa as they’ve also departed.
The former host of YFM’s Room Service has expressed her gratitude to her listeners and former employers in the letter below:
To My Listeners
What an incredible journey this has been. I began hosting Room Service on April 2, 2013, and each night that I signed on, you guys made my job worthwhile. Thank you for allowing me into your homes, cars, and hearts to entertain, uplift, and inspire you.
I never got the opportunity to express my gratitude to you for what you’ve done. In 2018, when Room Service was brought back, within 3 weeks of hosting my father transitioned. He was my hero, best friend, greatest cheerleader, and confidant. At that moment, I almost lost my will to live.

Air France Announces New On-board Measures For Flights
In line with instructions from the French government making the wearing of a mask compulsory on public transport, Air France will ask its customers to wear a mask throughout their journey when flights resume.
Customers will be notified of this via all communication channels (e-mail, sms, websites) prior to their departure and will be asked to ensure they possess one or more masks for their trip.
This is in addition to the measures implemented by Air France and its partners in response to the COVID-19 health crisis, which include:
The compulsory wearing of masks for all crew members and agents in contact with customers
The modification of customer channels on the ground with the implementation of physical distancing along the customer journey at the airport and the installation of Plexiglas protection screens at airports each time it is possible
The implementation of physical distancing on board where possible. On most flights, the current low load factors make it possible to separate customers as required. In cases where this is not possible, requiring all passengers and crew to wear masks ensures adequate health protection.
