In line with the organisational strategy of A Rocha Ghana, and in furtherance of its long term engagement and support for the development of communities and schools, the environmental protection NGO has partnered with the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation (CAMF) to undertake some tree planting initiatives in the Asante Akyem area.
Dr. Seth Appiah-Kubi, the National Director of A Rocha Ghana says, “At the Bompata Senior High School, we see another opportunity to support initiatives that help restore degraded areas and offer climate resilience services to communities all over the country.”
Having successfully served two terms as MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour is set for a new phase in his life of public service. The father of three and evangelist continues with the activities of the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation (CAMF) this weekend with a cleanup exercise and musical concert on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 in Komeso, Saabo, Yaw Barima, Takykrom and Kyempo followed by a tree planting exercise on Friday.

Saturday will be the turn of Banso, Dwendwenase, Bankame, Atiemo and Koikrom with a musical concert featuring Wendy Shay, Flowking Stone and the Rap Dacta, Okyeame Kwame. Special Guests for the musical concert are Kwadwo Owus Afriyie aka Sir John, C.E.O of the Forestry Commission and Dr. Richard Atuahene, C.E.O of Humana Group.
According to Obour, his decision to engage in such community development initiatives stems from his desire to engage in social work to positively impact society. He notes, “I have been engaged in such social initiatives since I did the Road Safety campaign. Since then, I have gone on to do Tuberculosis prevention work and climate change activism among others. So sanitation which is a core focus of the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation is a natural progression in my social activism.”
