Kwahu Easter: Ghana Tourism Authority Launches 2019 Paragliding Festival

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in collaboration with the Kwahu South District has launched the 2019 Paragliding festival dubbed “Fun and Fly” ahead of Kwahu Easter Celebration.

Agoo Fm news Rachel Gablah reports that, the event which took place at Mpraeso Palace brought together a number of other stakeholders include chiefs, DCEs (Kwahu South Hon Emmanuel Attah Ofori Snr and Kwahu East Hon Isaac Agyapong), Departmental heads, Police, officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority, the media and other dignitaries.

The launch was chaired by the chief of Kwahu Bepong Nana Nyarko Baawuah II and supported by the chief of Mpraeso, Nana Ampadu Daaduam including the various queen mothers of Kwahu land.

The C.E.O of Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Kwasi Agyemang revealed the theme and purpose of the theme.

He revealed a whole new fun pack of event which has been added to this year’s paragliding event and cited that as registration increases every year, they are expecting this year’s registration to me massive.

Nana Nyarko Baawuah II, Beponghene in an acceptance speech urged the youth to always beware of the way and manner they dress before going to the public space so far as the Easter celebration is concerned.

However, the DCE of Kwahu South, Hon. Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr expressed his sincere appreciation to the organizers and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) for bringing the launch of this year’s event to its host town stating that they have never been in support of an event which takes place in Kwahu but launched in the Greater Accra.

He also assured all present that the government is doing everything possible to make sure the road leading to the site is fixed to make the event a memorable one.
