South African rapper Cassper Nyovest with his #fillup concerts shut down big venues in his country every year.
He has so far filled up Ticket Pro Dome, (20,000) Orlando Stadium and the 94 736 capacity FNB Stadium.
His recent show was at the Moses Mabhida Stadium which is a 85,000 sitting capacity. (sold out)

Looking at the numbers, Casper is more of a better challenge than Davido or Wizkid. Or is it because The O2 Arena is in The UK 🇬🇧(so it’s a big deal)
Come on, Why are we not inspiring our Ghanaian artistes to full up huge stadiums but rather we are pushing them to fill up a 20,000 O2 arena.
We should stop this comparison between Ghana and Nigeria artistes. We should push our GH artistes to do more locally.
Imagine if any of the stars; Sarkodie, Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy is filling a paid stadium yearly in our country (not the Car Park), don’t you think by now our industry will be taking a better shape.
There are equal markets out there for our music. South and EAST African music markets are wide open, there are artistes there who are equally pushing the envelope, therefore, we should stop making these Nigerians feel super and special.
Davido filled up a 20,000 capacity but Cassper filled 85,000 capacity, who should we be focusing on?
Wrong placed priorities in our industry are killing us, let’s salvage what we have.
