Fuse ODG Sets TINA Festival For January 4

Singer Fuse ODG, famed for pioneering the Afrobeats movement in the UK, has announced the maiden T.I.N.A (This is New Africa) Festival for January 4th, 2019.

The event which will come off at the Trade Fair Center in Accra, is being curated with the objective of projecting a positive narrative of the continent, with cultural elements such as the wearing of Kente on the day.

The singer, born Nana Richard Abiona, gained global recognition with his 2013 hits “Antenna” and “Azonto”, the TINA frontman has constantly sought to correct various stereotypes about Ghana, and by extension, Africa. His debut album TINA ( This Is New Africa) was released in November 2014 and peaked at number 25 on the UK Albums Chart.

Grammy-recognized, Fuse has also been associated with such global music icons including Damian Marley Wyclef Jean, Elephant Man, Sarkodie, Sean Paul, Shatta Wale, Ed Sheeran, and Major Lazer.
