KING VIRGIN RAPS HIS WAY TO THE CLOSE-UP COOL BREEZE CAMPUS TOUR GRAND FINALE

King Virgin was discovered when the Closeup CoolBreeze Campus Tour competition reached Central University Campus. He warmed his way into the hearts of the students while competing with 14 other contestants, and was voted the man of the day.

This versatile rapper, is one of 6 finalists billed to battle out for the number 1 position on Friday 3rd August, at the National Theatre.

The 24-year-old level 300 Physician Assistantship student whose real name is Adu-Adjei Samuel, considers himself a man of few words as he puts all his thoughts into his rap, hence making each rap line very deep and sometimes, very personal.

Before he entered into the Closeup Coolbreeze Campus Tour competition, he was doing music on campus which helped him create a fan base but never really got the opportunity to perform on bigger stages alongside top artistes.

So for him, Coolbreeze platform has been nothing but amazing. ‘King Virgin has been around for a while, but the exposure this competition has given me is massive, wow! Sometimes I have to pinch myself to realize it’s not just a dream’, he said.

Amidst the touring, fraternizing and the performances, he admitted that the journey has been a learning process for him as an artiste. ‘I am very grateful to Closeup and organizers, Charterhouse for this great opportunity. I must say I have learnt a great deal out of this experience, especially about stage performances to different audiences. I must say, this is indeed my foundation builder’, he said.

According to the young rapper, throughout his music career, he has always been greatly inspired by the award-winning rapper, Sarkodie. ‘I respect his hustle and the fact that he never forgets his past. As for his rap, well, the guy is just out of this world’ he said with so much admiration in his eyes.

He is ready, he is eager and he is indeed fired up to give his fans a great performance, as he believes putting up his best will make him the overall winner of the Closeup Coolbreeze Campus Tour competition. This, he believes will help him break the barrier, giving him enough leverage for the desired future.

‘As an upcoming artiste like myself, being a part of this competition has already given me the exposure I need but winning the overall competition will give me leverage over other younger artiste’. He urges all his fans to meet him at the National Theater on the 3rd of August for an awesome experience.

The finale event, dubbed Closeup Coolbreeze Break The Barrier Concert, will also feature the likes of Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Kurl Songx, Teephlow, B4Bonah, amongst others, who are themselves examples of young artistes who have broken the barrier into main stream music.
