Black Star International Film Festival Returns On August 11

From August 11th -18th, the annual Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF) held since 2016, returns.

A week-long event consisting daily film screenings, panel sessions & workshops, an Open Air Cinema, a music concert among others, the festival aims at “creating connections through film,” as well as ‘bridging the gap between African cinema and the world.”

“Ghana is a critical voice in the region. We continue to impact the industry in very interesting ways. The festival will serve as a rallying point to connect the dots,” says filmmaker and Founding President, Juliet Asante about the motives underlining the BSIFF.

First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo was recently unveiled as patron, and the event has consistently attracted high-profile stakeholders from the country and beyond.
