The American actor, singer, director, producer, songwriter and photographer premiered the video for his latest single, “Hurt People,” yesterday (April 17).
Filmed in Johannesburg and Soweto, South Africa, the Smollett-directed “Hurt People” was filmed with an all-black South African labor force including cast, crew and fashion designers.
The political video which was inspired by Nelson Mandela which talks about the triumph over apartheid was shot in South Africa, The Empire TV series star in his recent video was seen wearing a Ghanaian wear made by Chocolate Clothing owned by Kwaku Bediako.
