“Mighty Jesus” Is Available on iTunes worldwide & On Aftown For Streaming And Download In Ghana

Musical powerhouse Edem, has teamed up with Multi-platinum selling music producer and fellow Ghanaian Eric ‘Coptic’ Matlock to produce “The African Answer”, an album that is set to change the trajectory of African Hip-Hop.

Many in the US were first introduced to Edem’s lyrical skills during the first ever Africa Cypher at the 2010 BET Awards, now he is back to hit radio waves harder than ever with the first single and video ‘Mighty Jesus’ featuring Jayso and E.L released on 8th December 2017.

“Mighty Jesus” is a thank you and recognition of the higher power taking us through globally turbulent times and bringing us all to a promising new year. Edem continues to show his versatility as an artist by delving into the gospel music genre, with a hip-hop heavy beat promising to uplift listeners with music for the soul.

Known for his award-winning creativity in storytelling through music, Edem delivers a visually intoxicating video for “Mighty Jesus” that stays true to his African and Hip-Hop roots.

The collaboration between Edem and Coptic comes at a time when African artists and their music have seen a new global demand, while still not garnering the monetary success of their American and European counterparts.

In deliberate action to change this dynamic, Edem signed on to Coptic’s recording and distribution imprint Brooklyn Bridge Entertainment to launch and push “The African Answer” through US/European mainstream hip hop channels.

With Brooklyn Bridge Entertainment, Edem will be given the same opportunities for global distribution as his fellow artists on eOne Music. eOne is a global leader of independent ownership and content distribution partnered with Universal Music Group for European distribution.

According to Coptic, “I always talk about how African artists need to be given the right opportunities and paid properly for their work, this is one of the necessary steps to achieve such a dream.”
