Plans are advanced for two companies Golden Eye Studio and E focus Live headed by Filmmaker Isaac Kwesi Oduro Junior to start operations in Europe.
In an interview with David Arthur, operations manager of Golden Eye Studio now acting as the CEO, he said the two companies in collaboration with others will soon hit Europe with a series of projects.
“Our Online Entertainment TV Channel is also in the pipeline. The only thing delaying us right now are our certificates to operate as a business in Europe. We want to do the right thing and pay our taxes just like any other European, so we’re following the process to getting started officially.”
A three-man team from two different production companies in Ghana are expected in Germany in mid August to help speed up a number of television productions mainly featuring Ghanaians living in Europe.
” Ghanaians abroad love Ghanaian entertainment and we have also done our research and found that online television would have served no purpose without Ghanaians living abroad but sadly, they have been left out in the mainstream entertainment offering in Ghana. We at E focus Live and Golden Eye Studio are dedicated to making them feel a part of the entertainment industry in Ghana,”Arthur adds.
He also noted that their efforts are being supported by Nashbee Productions in Hanover, Germany. leading to the two parties’ first TV Production series named ‘’TROUBLE IN HANOVER’’ shot and directed by Isaac Kwesi Oduro Junior who doubles as art director for both companies. The production is expected to highlight the general lifestyle and issues of Ghanaians living in Europe.
Over the years, Golden Eye Studio has contributed to the entertainment scene in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. The Europe addition comes at a time when they are looking to grow.
Golden Eye Studio is noted for quality TV productions, Music Videos, and commercials among others. The company played major roles in previous productions of Ghana’s Most Beautiful for TV3 and have shot multiple award winning videos for some of Ghana’s mainstream musicians.
