Hot Photos: Selly Galley Slays As Red Carpet Host For The Golden Movie Award

The Golden Movie Awards took place last night at the Kempinski Hotel Ghana. With a bouquet of stars and sleek organization, the events red carpet proved to set the pace for award shows in Ghana.

There was no shortage in glamour, as the Titans of the African movie scene, seemed to wrestle with their fashion statements.

From blogger / Al-Jazeera International correspondent Monte Oz, to Actors and Actresses like, Kofi Ajorlolo, Gbenro Ajibade, Harry Bentil, Nadia Buari, Ama K Abebrese, Joselyn Dumas, Radio/TV faces like, Caroline Sampson, Anita Erskine and many more groups, the entertainment industry was represented in a beautiful array of patterns.

After a few hours delay, the red carpet was officially opened with Ghana's fast-rising style icon, Selly Galley-Fiawoo and Nigeria's heartrob, Uti Nwachukwu welcoming the thousands of viewer at home to what seemed to be a bevy of stars. What caught my eye however was the grace and royalty with which Selly Galley glided in her princess inspired outfit by Kofi Akotuah. The dark gown with peacock embellishments seemed to place Selly in the middle of everyone's attention.

The Actress and TV host built an amazing chemistry with her co-host and the guest that passed through; according everyone the cultural Ghanaian respect and hospitality. One thing that made me thick a point for Selly, was how she often transformed the now cliché, "Who are you wearing" to, "What are you slaying". This made a big difference, as the question now carried a load of excitement. Selly managed to take part of the attention away from her amazing dress and focus it on the impeccable red-carpet host she had worked to become; courting joy in both the hearts of event attendees and viewers at home.

After the red carpet, Selly had a surprise for guests as she stepped on stage to present an award  in a green hand beaded dress by Sima Brew. This surprise stirred whispered of approval from the audience, as her curvy figure was flattered.

Speaking to Selly after the event, she stated that he style inspiration came from the potential exhibited by Ghanaian designers. "I wanted to prove to young ladies around Ghana that you can rock made in Ghana and slay doing it.
