PHD Ghana is among a select group of top media agencies in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa chosen by Facebook Africa to benefit from its Blueprint Live eLearning programmes designed to equip digital talent in agencies with best in class skills and knowledge to plan and execute Facebook and Instagram marketing campaigns effectively.
Facebook hosted a 3-day Summit in Pretoria, South Africa, from March 30 to April 1, 2016 to train and outdoor the very first cohort of certified Blueprint Agency Ambassadors from valued agency partners to make the most of its media platform and advertising products.
Benjamin Nyarkpo, PHD Ghana’s Facebook Blueprint Certified Agency Ambassador is looking forward to successfully coordinating online training courses via the e-learning platform for all relevant colleagues in the agency to become Blueprint certified. “Apart from the new knowledge and skills acquired during the summit, the series of round table sessions held with the Facebook Africa team provided a rare opportunity for sharing feedback on Facebook advertising products and platforms based on local market needs and insights” he said.
Nunu Ntshingila, Facebook’s Africa Regional Director expressed her excitement at the launch of the first of such a programme by Facebook in Africa, saying “as media transcends to digital, it’s of crucial importance that these Ambassadors are equipped to take their learnings back to their agencies – both digital and traditional – so that they can make the most of the digital opportunity, and ultimately grow brands and businesses.”
The Certified Agency Ambassadors have a direct line to Facebook and receive extensive training to help them become their agency’s expert in Facebook’s tools, technologies and solutions. They are also expected to lead and manage their agency’s Facebook education plan and roll-out, act as Facebook experts and communicate Facebook updates throughout the agency as well as aggregate and communicate product feedback to Facebook teams to improve offerings for agencies across the Facebook platform.
Commenting on the gesture, Bright Ladzekpo, Managing Director of PHD Ghana said “Facebook’s Blueprint Live and the Africa Agency ambassador programme could not have come at a better time. Africa’s rapid growth in digital penetration and mobile needs to be matched with an equally fast-paced and relevant talent development effort in order to optimize the huge potential media technology products by partners like Facebook could unleash for the marketing industry and the continents economies”.
