The project which is schedules to be completed by the end of the year is aimed at ensuring that the indigenes of “Enua enhun aa )ny3 tan”; a village in Takoradi can boast of a convenient livelihood.
Indigenes of this town have in the past had to deal with an array of inconveniences with the worse been in the rainy season where students are forced to swim to their schools because of the overflow of a lake and the sea surrounding the community.
The commissioning event was held alongside a free medical screening exercise which saw hundreds of people receive free care and drugs.
Apave, headline sponsors of the project, is a third party inspection company with operations in Ghana committed to training and investing in the local communities as part of its social responsibilities.
Versatile artiste Trigmatic who currently heads the Matic foundation has said that he is hopeful that the project would be finished on schedule so that the plights of the people can be assuaged as soon as possible.
He however said that it would take the support of everybody to help the project a success therefore the need for all well-meaning Ghanaians to support the project which he termed “a worthy course” with at least a bag of cement through .
The Matic foundation and TRAF have since 2009 been engaged in several forms of charity projects with the aim of bringing hope to the hopeless.
