Shatta Wale Billed To Perform At Glo-CAF Awards In Nigeria

In spite of the all controversies surrounding the music career of Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale, the young and energetic Dancehall artiste made an impressive showing by way of songs released, performances and awards in the year 2015. 

Currently, he has so many hits which are enjoying massive airplay all over the country and some parts of the world.

With just three days into the New Year, it is certainly clear that Shatta Wale’s prominence, dominance and relevance in the music industry is never going to see an end anytime soon as he has officially been invited to perform at the Glo CAF Awards in Nigeria on January 7th, 2016 to be held at International Conference Centre, Abuja. 

Take it or leave it, Shatta Wale’s invitation goes a long way to indicate his world wide appeal as he is the only Ghanaian artiste who has been invited to be part of the prestigious Glo CAF awards.

In an exclusive interview, Shatta Wale revealed to www.flexgh.com that he feels very overwhelmed to be part of the Glo CAF Awards as he is the only Ghanaian artiste who has been invited to be part of the awards and noted that as this happens to be his first opportunity to perform in Nigeria, important personalities in the football fraternity and general music lovers would see him perform in a way he has never done before.

He further revealed that the invitation came with a special appeal from the organizers for him to perform his ‘’Reality’’ song. When asked why the organizers specially asked that he performs the ’Reality’’ song, Shatta Wale said the song is a very good and relevant song which has positive lyrics that relates to the Glo CAF Awards.


He noted that he is very ready for the Glo CAF awards and indicated that, he would leave the shores of Ghana with his team on Tuesday January 5 and return on Saturday January 9th, 2016.

The GLO CAF Awards is an awards event held to honour the best African association football players. 

It is conferred by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).For this year’s event, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon & Borrussia Dortmund of Germany, four-time African Player of the Year, Yaya Toure of Cote d’Ivoire and Manchester City, Andrew Ayew of Ghana and Swansea City FC would be looking forward to win African footballer of the year award and as already indicated ,the winner would be crowned at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on 7th January, 2016.
