#CypressGhana : I Love Modelling – Barbara

Not many young ladies will venture into full time modelling but wannabe model Barbara Ewurama McCarthy cannot do without it.

The young lady who starting her modelling career at Exopa modelling agency in 2011 has been able to model for several organisations and individuals including Expression of Accra by CITI FM, Face of Exopa, L- Fashion Night, Exotic  Trendz Hair Fashion Show,  commercial for First Choice Hair Salon, Abrantie Runway, Ebi Bright’s birthday party among others.

The 24-year student of Central University, currently studying Business Management told Showbiz, she prefers modelling to working in a bank or any big corporate institution.

“I don’t know what I can do without modelling and I am seriously working towards achieving my long-time dream. I know most young ladies will easily grab a bank job or any big time job but all I want in this world is to be on an international modelling stage sharing the same stage with super models like Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell”

“My management team are in talks with some of the greatest models in Ghana such as Victoria Michaels and Kate- Tachie Menson to get me there” she said.

Asked whether she was cool with bikini modelling, Barbara who is single at the moment hinted that she was very shy of her body at the initial stages of her career but she is not anymore because she has come to realise its part of the job.

Born to Mr. John Kingsley McCarthy and Madam Gertrude Quarcoo, Barbara who hails from Saltpond, Cape Coast noted that it is best when you go in for what you love most and that is the reason she has decided to choose modelling as her first love.

She recently took part in the Miss Galaxy beauty where she was the first-runner up. She also took home miss runway and miss project for national sanitation day.
