Jigwe Awards 2015: Here Are The Nominees !!!

The second edition of the much talked-about parody awards, Jigwe Awards, will come off on Wednesday, 23rd December 2015 at the studios of Viasat1, Labone – Accra.

The Jigwe Awards is a parody event which intends to recognise some key personalities that have not only appeared on the show but individuals, organisations and events that have attracted the most headlines and have been the most talked about for various reasons this year.

The name of the awards was derived from a term mainly used by the show’s amazing hosts, Patrice Amegashie and Kokui Selormey, to describe the goodness of the show and everything positive & quality. The term is also used to describe the show’s audience and guests.

The 2015 edition follows a successful one last year which saw personalities like Jessica Opare Saforo, Shatta Wale, Juliet Ibrahim, DKB, Afia Schwarzenegger, and Bishop Obinim getting the nod.

Nominations for the 2015 edition of the Jigwe Awards have been released and they include some hilarious and not too hilarious categories. Voting is ongoing on the Viasat1 social media platforms and this has generated stiff competition among the nominees.

The Jigwe Awards comes off on This Morning on Wednesday 23rd December, 2015, and it will be broadcast LIVE on from 7 a.m. on Viasat1.
