Nigeria’s female DJ, Cuppy who happens to be the niece of Aliko Dangote exhibited her skills as a professional DJ on Friday evening when she appeared on Starr Drive with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine.DJ Cuppy who is in Ghana as part of “Cuppy Takes Africa” tour proved that what men can do, women can do it and do it better.
Right after a chat with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine to brief Ghanaians on why she is in Ghana and some of the challenges she has faced as a female disc jokey, DJ Cuppy known in real life as Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola jumped behind the turntables to prove herself right.
DJ Cuppy showed that all the buzz about her appearance in Ghana was not just noise but she had something to deliver.
The 22 year old DJ and a masters student of the New York University from Ghana will continue her 8-country tour. The “Cuppy Takes Africa” tour will see the female DJ in other countries like Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.
