The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced the roadmap for its national elections due to take place during its national congress in Koforidua from October 29th – 31st.
As part of preparations for the Congress, filing of nominations will commence on Monday July 27th and will be open till August 27th. After the filing of nominations vetting will take place on September 10.
Members of the Union who are interested in contesting for the elections will have to pay the following filing fees:
President – GHC 3,000.00

As part of the preparations towards Congress, a number of committees have been formed. These are the Congress Planning, Election, Vetting and Constitutional Review Committees. Meanwhile the Constitutional Review committee is in the process of collecting recommendations for amendments.
In all 150 delegates are expected to participate in the Congress.
