Photos : Map Volunteer Helps Flood Victims At Teshie-Nungua With Clean-Up Exercise

Following the Wednesday June 3rd floods and disaster, Map Volunteer, a non-governmental organization went all out to support in their little way during the national sanitation day exercise slatted for every first Saturday of the month.

Map volunteer Organization on 6th June, joined the nation by cleaning one of the neighborhoods which got flooded in the Teshie - Nungua municipality.

Speaking to MICHEAL SOGBODJOR, the founder of the volunteer organization, he said it is his dream to support the youth of today both local and international to stay together in developing their own society hence creating change in their community through volunteering, youth development programs, exchange programs, mentor ship workshops and supporting the needy through the general public’s support to the MAP FOUNDATION.

He further cautioned Ghanaians to help keep our communities clean and gutters free of plastic waste, “no one will do it for you unless you start it right”.Mr .Sogbodjor entreated everyone to support the nation to stay clean and keep its occupants healthy. 

This initiative is in to stay where volunteers from Map Volunteers Organization will come out every month to help clean our environs and, mentor today’s youth.

Map volunteers stand for youth empowerment, volunteering, unity, peace and job creation. We are looking at helping young people stay empowered, create sustainable careers and support communal labour, cultural immersion, hence create change in their own society. 

It is our hope that our goals and objectives get obtained as we grow into a one stop mentoring and volunteering stop for the world’s youth. As part of our support to humanity at large, Map Foundation has been established both in the USA and Ghana which is in to help support various cause, our current project is to create headline widespread awareness about child care awareness and talent development in outreach and career creation.
  • Fostering child empowerment through sports and empowerment. 

  •  Evoke empathy in the right quarters to support the Cause.


  •  To increase the knowledge of the public on the benefits of communal living and the need for change of attitude and behavior towards certain societal issues through the power of education, mentoring and talent demonstration (SPORTS) 

  •  We are set to join the MDG’S to sustain and grow Africa through networking, relationship development, culture share as well as educate and entertain.

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight international development goals that were established following the Millennium Summit of the United Nations in 2000, following the adoption of the United Nations Millennium Declaration. All 189 United Nations member states at the time (there are 193 currently), and at least 23 international organizations, committed to help achieve the following Millennium Development Goals by 2015
