Miss Malika Washes The Hands Of Students At Teshie

The onset of the rains brings with it health concerns for all especially children, in an attempt to reduce the negative impact of the rains reigning Miss Malaika Ghana, Miss Eirene Binabiba is embarking on a hand wash campaign to teach school children how to wash their hands properly.

Research has shown that people who wash their hands well reduce their risk of getting germ infections by a considerable percentage.

When she was crowned Miss Malaika Ghana last year, the 20 year old University of Ghana student vowed to use her reign to impact the lives of people hence her campaign to teach children how to not just wash their hands properly but also how to keep a good personal hygiene.

The project which is targeted at basic schools aims to send the hand washing campaign to over fifteen basic schools within the Accra and Tema metropolis.

Eirene will be joined by her runner up, colleagues from the Miss Malaika Ghana 2014 pageant and friends. The project officially starts on the 14th of May, 2015 at Eirene’s Alma Mata Daras School Limited in Teshie-Nungua.

With power comes great responsibility so we say kudos to Eirene and her team for taking this laudable initiave.
