A Piece Of Peace: "Fight, If It’s Worth Having"

Hello and welcome to a piece of peace, your weekly dose of motivation and inspiration.

This week, I would like to share on the topic, “Fight, if it’s worth having”

Many people are passionate, but because of their limiting beliefs about who they are and what they can do, they never take the actions that could make their dream a reality.

Every time you push past your fears, you become more of the person you want to be. And as you step out of your comfort zone, you’ll be amazed at the different opportunities that life has to offer.

Finding purpose and meaning in our lives entails risks. You won’t find meaning doing the same old things. Meaning will not come knocking on your door; rather, you need to actively seek it. And a lot of the time, meaningful opportunities will be hiding in places that are outside of your comfort zone. To tap into those opportunities you will need to fight.

A minister once said that the saddest thing about officiating a funeral is not the death of the body but the death of dreams. He went on to say that the wealthiest place on the planet is a cemetery because there you will find endless amounts of potential never manifested, often because they let fear stand in their way.  Don’t live your life wishing that you had done things differently.

Live a life full of meaning by daring to take risks and fighting for your dreams.  Life is a fight. You can either throw the first punch and take the fight to life, or let life win.

Your choice!  If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s to fight. Fight for what’s right. Fight for what you believe in, what’s important to you. Fight for the ones you love, and most importantly fight for the right to be on the path that God has destined for you. Nothing is promised. You don’t deserve anything and you are not entitled to any rewards without a fight.  You are only truly living when your purpose is bigger than yourself.

This is because when your purpose is bigger than yourself, you are willing to fight for what you believe in regardless of the obstacles.

The tides of life won’t always bring you back ashore — sometimes, you have to row yourself over. Often, nothing changes until you change it. Nothing is better until you make it that way. There’s nothing you’re not responsible for. Just waiting around for something to happen, lamenting that it isn’t, wishing, hoping, praying for it to change, doesn’t always ensure that it will.

Go, move, act, and speak. Your days are slipping by you, and every day you spend in the mediocre is another you miss in the extraordinary. And no matter what you do, always remember to be yourself, because everyone else is taken.

Much Love,

Peace Hyde.
