The Ashanti region qualifiers for the 2015 UPAC Basketball Championship takes place in Kumasi on Saturday March 21st.
Four institutions Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Garden City University College, Kumasi Polytechnic and Christian Service University College will battle each other during the one-day event.
The game follows the successful Greater Accra zone 1 qualifiers which saw University of Professional Studies (UPSA) clinched qualification to the finals next months after seeing off Pentecost University College, Ho Polytechnic and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). The second edition of the tertiary basketball is shaping up nicely after it kicked off last weekend in Accra.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) boast of an experienced players including star man Emmanuel Ekow Amoako playing alongside Edem Dompeh and Kwame Adjei Akrasi.
But their quest to make the final could be threatened by emerging teams like Kumasi Polytechnic, who have vowed to silence their city rival when the two teams cross sword.
