Hiplife music group which is made of Reggie Rockstone, Prodigal and Zeal led their fans and friends today 6th December 2014 on National Sanitation Day (NSD) to clean Nima and Mamobi.
Abdul Hamidu Ibrahim, whose stage name is ‘Zeal’, described the National Sanitation Day as an event which brings back exciting memories of the spirit of volunteerism which was a common thing in the past and which enhanced the welfare of mankind.
Ibrahim mentioned that, communal service in the past was characterized by the presence of drumming and music, adding that VVIP and Friends are equally proud to be associated, using their talents in Hiplife music to influence the community of Nima and Mamobi to achieve cleaner and healthier surroundings.
VVIP and Friends also provided 'Kooko and Kose' as breakfast for the fans, neighbours, natives of the area and guests who came to participate in the clean-up exercise at Nima Gutter, popularly referred to as 'Bakyin Guta'.
The group later today will mount the stage to perform in a live show dubbed ‘SANIJAM’ & " Saminifest ".
