SPORTS BREAKING NEWS: Injured Andre Ayew To Return To Action In 2-3 Weeks, Dr. Adam Baba Confirms

Black Stars team doctor Adam Baba has revealed that injured Andre Ayew will be out for between two to three weeks after picking up a right thigh strain during Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Uganda in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kampala.

The Marseille winger, who captained the Black Stars last Saturday, had to be pulled off in the second half for Mubarak Wakaso following the injury.

“We examined Dede and our initial observation was that it was a contusion of the inner upper right thigh. We sent him for an MRI observation and what it revealed was that he had a minimal tear of the inner part of the upper thigh.

In 2 to 3 weeks he should be up and about,” Dr. Baba told Campionesport.com. The 24-year-old Ayew did not travel to Tamale with the Black Stars, who arrived in the Northern regional capital on Monday afternoon.
