MIRAY (@Miray4real) COMES BACK AGAIN WITH ‘AKUKO’ FT Nana-Yaw Nakked Of Double

There are countless musicians in Ghana but it seems the males have taken it as a business whilst the females have dropped to the background.

One would ask, is the music industry male dominated? Are the females intimidated with the number of males in the industry? Does the talent belongs to only males? Are the females not interested in the music business? Well!

The answer stands still as the few ones are really doing marvelous and spectacular things in and outside Ghana, not to talk of Efya, Becca, Tiffany, Raquel, Stephanie Benson, Eazzy, Wiyaala and a whole lot.

This year, somewhere April, Ghanaians where blown away when the music industry received a new hit banger titled ‘Scream My Name’ by the Afro - Pop singer Miray which featured  Ghanaian Afrobeat and dancehall musician Atumpan.

Since then, Miray Mansan Gomont as named by her parents and signed under the management of Swagg LunaGH has been on the lips of many Ghanaians as her song ‘Scream My Name’ made a mark in the hearts and minds of many music lovers.

The half Ghanaian and half Ivorian songstress, is once again ready to hit the air waves with her uniqueness and versatile styles of blending English, French, and Twi in her yet to release song dubbed ‘Akoko’ which features Nana Yaw of Ghana’s Hiplife music duo ‘Double’.

When David Pablo of Cypress Ghana first heard the new Afro- pop song titled ‘Akuko’ which means fowl in the local dialect ‘Twi’ by Miray, he went a step further to find out why that title… she said   “…my song title is related to the way and manner in which some guys keep pressuring ladies for their love just as a cock does to the hen when they want to have ‘sex’ ”.

Listening to the ‘Akoko’ track, he thinks the song is humourous and danceable, and the analogy is quite amusing. There is no denying that the song is an original with a unique concept.

Last year on December 24, when Miray was named as the best female performer at the 24Nite Concert held in Kumasi, which was headlined by Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Kwabena Kwabena, and 2face Idibia brought the sexy songstress to the forefront of the entertainment scene.

So my fellow music lovers, check out the new sensational Afro-Pop singer Miray Mansan Gomont and   don’t ever miss any of her tracks because her songs will make you dance your head off.
