Photos: When President Mahama And The First Lady, Lordina Visited Queen Elizabeth

President John Dramani Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina who are currently on an official visit to the UK, have visited the Buckingham Palace for a private meeting with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen, showing no sign of fatigue at her back-to-back schedule, greeted Mr Dramani and his wife Lordina Mahama in her study at Buckingham Place having just waved off President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary with Prince Philip.

Indeed the bold yellow, blue and red frock seemed to captivate the Queen as she shook hands with the President’s wife, who accompanied her husband on his state visit to the UK.

President Mahama and the Queen discussed a number of issues of common interest to the two countries.  At the meeting, the  Queen is reported to have expressed interested in the First Lady’s health-related activities and humanitarian support.

President Mahama also presented the Queen with a copy of his book, My First Coup D’etat And Other True Stories from the Lost Decades of Africa.
