The Miss Malaika Ghana 2014 pageant started with over 500 delegates. The number was pruned down and 16 delegates found themselves in the Malaika House. The number was once again scaled down and eventually, 10 young ladies remain to vie for the crown.
So come Saturday, November 1st, at the National Theatre, the 10 finalists will battle against each other for one of them to win the prestigious crown, cash and car.
Meet the final 10 Girls.
Sharon Davidor
Sharon is 18-years-old and a graduate of Wesley Girls’ High School. She aspires to be a medical doctor as well as the next Malaika queen.
She is friendly, strong and a determined young lady. She loves to swim, play basketball and help the less fortunate people in whichever way she can.
Her favourite colour is black, her life philosophy is, “if opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”
Akua Akuffo
In one word, she is simple, in two words, she is kind-hearted and in three words, she is Anita Akua Akuffo. She is 21, and a second year student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism(GIJ) reading Communication Studies.
She loves to rap at the least opportunity.
She admires Shirley Frimpong Manso, Kwami Sefa Kayi and Nana Aba Anamoah.
She believes Miss Malaika is the best platform to start her journey to greatness in connection with her dream of becoming a journalist and lawyer.

Stephanie Poku Agyeman
Stephanie is a final year economics student of Central University, she totally loves her morning runs which help her stay in shape and keep her healthy as well.
Her mother is her role model because she has not met another woman like her. “We wake up every day with new hope because mom inspires us all the way.”
She aspires to work with the UN, especially under the child labour division.
She sees Miss Malaika Ghana as a big platform and cannot wait to win and roll out her child labour projects.
Anita Osei
For this Malaika delegate, her assertiveness, values and self-motivation tell a lot about her.
The 21-year-old purpose-driven young woman is an old student of Wesley Girls’ High School and now reading Law at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Anita is principled and stands for what she believes in. She loves watching good movies, listening to good music, reading the newspapers and other inspirational books.
She is deeply motivated by the lives of Kofi Annan, Joel Osteen, Emmanuel Tumi and a host of others.
Eirene Nsudoon Binabibi
Eirene, is a talented young lady who is inspired to reach for greater heights, loves to play basketball, singing and dancing.
She is also passionate about musical instruments, especially the piano and bass guitar.
Eirene, who believes in putting God first in all her endeavours decided to take part in the pageant because she believes it provides a good platform for her to be groomed in terms of public speaking, boost her self-confidence and to also be a role model to others out there.
She is a student of the University of Ghana, Legon.

Ann, 19, is a student of the University of Ghana, Legon. She is friendly and loves swimming, watching movies and hanging out with friends.
She is very keen on winning the Malaika Pageant to make her dreams come true.
Cynthia Osei
Cynthia would love to be a fashion designer in future because fashion speaks a lot about a person.
The 19-year old student of the Ghana Technology University College studying Business Administration loves designing, sewing and swimming. Her role model is her mum, Mrs Georgina Osei.
Cynthia joined Miss Malaika Ghana because she wants to improve upon her personality and be groomed to be a woman of substance.
Ivy Baffuor Gyan
Ivy, 21, is a level 400 student of the University of Ghana, Legon studying Finance.
She loves country and live band music, swimming and horseback riding.
She is contesting in Miss Malaika because it is a platform for opportunities, exposure, grooming, fun and for young intelligent ladies to embark on charity projects.
“Miss Malaika is a life changing experience. I believe I have all it takes to win Miss Malaika 2014.”
Wilhemina Buadie Kwofie
Mina is a 20-year- old student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism who aims to practice journalism the right way to ensure readily available information to educate and entertain people all over the world.
She loves travelling, taking pictures, and watching movies. “My role models are my dad, Jessica Opare Saforo of Citi FM, Kofi Annan (Former UN General Secretary), Oprah Winfrey and Jay Foley of 4Syte TV.”
It is her dream to become an entrepreneur and a world renowned philanthropist.
Arts and photography is also her interest.
Joyce Mamle Ayeh
Joyce was born on May 16, 1995 and hails from Odumasi-Krobo in the Eastern Region.
She loves to read, sing and dance. She enjoys eating kenkey with fish and shito.
“My personal motto comes from my mother which says, never do what pleases the eyes but the heart.’’ She believes Malaika is the appropriate platform for her to be able to inculcate the spirit of volunteerism into future generations, beginning with her generation.
As a result our final 10 delegates who will be competing for the crown on the 1st of November 2014 at the National Theatre are Joyce, Eirene, Anita, Kathleen, Ivy, Stephanie, Ann, Cynthia, Sharon, and Mina.
