Award winning Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli has touched down in Ghana to premiere her much talked movie ‘Being Mrs Elliot’ at a red carpet ceremony at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on Friday October 17th.
‘Being Mrs Elliot’ is a romanticcomedy movie co-produced and directed by Omoni Oboli and was shot in Lagos, Ekiti and Asaba. It features popular Ghanaian actor Majid Michel, Omoni Oboli herself, Ayo Makun, Sylvia Oluchy, Seun Akindele, Uru Eke, Lepacious Bose and a host of others.
The movie revolves around two women, in a simple twist of fate; find their worlds colliding with each other. Their lives are turned upside down as they meet two men, who are on a different path in life until unusual circumstances bring then women into their lives.
In a amaze of deception, lust, pain, jealousy and intrigues their lives are rearranged in ways that they did not foresee as they try to make sense of finding love in unusual places.
Being Mrs Elliot has been screened at the Nigeria Presidential Complex with many dignitaries in attendance including President Goodluck Jonathan and his vice Namadi Sambo after its world premiere at the Silverbird Galleria in Victoria Island, Lagos and across Nigeria.
Oboli disclosed in an interview with Cypress Ghana that, Being Mrs Elliot has all the elements of a good movie and has so far received 6 nominations at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards in Nigeria and has also been nominated in 9 categories at the 2014 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards.

She said, her yet to premiere movie in Ghana is totally unpredictable as to how it will end up, until the very end and it has so many elements which are usually lacking in movies; comedy, drama, romance and suspense.
The director of the movie expressed how she is so excited to premiere her movie in the country. “I am very elated to premiere my much talked debut movie in Ghana and I urge all movie lovers to come and watch the movie”.
According to Omoni Oboli ‘Being Mrs Elliot’is what patrons will love to become after watching the movie.
