Teen Choice Awards: Bola Ray Is ‘Ultimate Choice Icon’

The CEO of Starr FM Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray)has been conferred with the title ‘Ultimate Choice Icon’ at Ghana’s maiden 'Teen Choice Awards'.

The ceremony which was organised by youth empowerment organisation ‘The Silver Network' came off Saturday August 23, 2014.

The 'Teen Choice Awards' according to organisers was instituted to celebrate teen excellence and to recognise various personalities who influence teenagers across Ghana.

Receiving his award at the premises of Starr 103.5 FM, Bola Ray said he was honoured for the recognition.

“I wish I was there at the programme in person. It would have been a wonderful opportunity to motivate the younger ones to greater heights,” he said.

Bola Ray added that Starr FM is prepared to support the Silver Network anytime they needed one.

The head of the network, Baa Winfred Azumah in response thanked Bola for being an inspiration to everyone who voted for him.

“We were astounded when the votes flooded in for you but we were not surprised. You are an inspiration to us all and we are happy to make this presentation to you,” he said.

Other award winners include Ms. Sefa Yakpo, who was conferred with the Ultimate Honorary award for Student Excellence, Ms. Lisa Aidoo (Ms Ghana USA) for the honorary award for Social Development, Ms. Kadija Lamptey for the Choice Fashionista (F) category, Ms. Clara Benson (Akwadaa Kyeiwaa) for the Choice Movie Star (F) category, Ms. Berla Addardey for the Choice Hottie category.

All female winners received trophies along with care products from Forever Easy who were sponsors of the event.
