Osarfo Anthony is a Ghanaian by birth and a Sagittarius born in the 80s in Mamprobi – Accra Ghana. Right from the young age of 10, Osarfo had a philia for reading subjects to calculation or computing subjects. He started reciting poems and engaging in intra and inter school debates/quizzes right from Juniour Secondary School.
By the time Osarfo got to his second year in secondary school, his writing talent had started manifesting. Though a Business – Accounting student, Osarfo excelled over the entire students in an English Essay – wrote on ‘Road Accidents’ and was adjudged the overall Best Writer to the dismay of all his colleagues, especially, the General Arts students.
Osarfo contributed lots of write ups to his secondary school’s magazine when he was about to complete school – 2003. Friends, relatives, co-workers, and all close associates of Osarfo always called on him to edit or write one thing or the other – application letter, permission letter, speech, proposals, etc. He always impressed!
In 2006, Osarfo began monitoring Ghana’s showbiz industry religiously and so started writing about the industry to mediums such as: Graphic Showbiz, The Punch, Jive, Fylla, and Spectator. Unfortunately, none of his write ups were published, but he continued writing as a Freelance.
One of Osarfo’s secondary school mates, Prince Asamoah Ntim, who knew of his writing bravura in the secondary school, encouraged Osarfo to “follow your passion. It’s your talent. I’ve always known you as a born writer from our secondary school days. I believe in you! I believe in you. Keep writing!” Osarfo did and has since not looked back.
Osarfo finally had his first appointment with Flex Newspaper – as a Columnist and the Administrative Manager. Today, Osarfo Anthony, who did not give up on his writing talent because some publishing houses failed to publish his works, can boast of many write ups – some with bylines and others, anonymous.
