Solange, Beyonce & Jay Z Release Statement Addressing Elevator Fight

After three days of intense speculation and Instagram posting, Jay Z, Solange and Beyonce have finally released a joint statement addressing the alleged elevator fight caught on tape after the MET Ball.

Check out the full statement below:

“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different.”
“We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Since the incident, an employee at the Standard Hotel was fired for selling off the elevator footage. The person in question, recorded the live feed from the security office from their cell phone, and then forwarded it over to TMZ, who may have paid upward of a quarter million dollars for the footage. (Page Six reports that it was $250,000).

According to the Standard, the employee breached the security policies of the hotel by recording the confidential CCTV video, and their info has been handed over to criminal authorities.
