Fennec's funeral moved from Conference Centre to Trade Fair

The venue for the final funeral rites of Fennec Okyere, who was brutally killed by unknown assailants who broke into his house, will now take place at the Trade Fair Centre.

This change of venue is being announced after Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu Ekufful, who is also the Spokesperson for the family, had told Hitz FM that the funeral would be held at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Fennec Okyere, who was the manager of the controversial musician, Kwaw Kese was killed at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road, Accra on Thursday, March 13.

A statement from the family, said there will be no wake keeping for Fennec Okyere, who died at age 31.
There will be a burial service on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the forecourt of the Trade Fair Centre where the general public will be given the opportunity to view and file past his remains.

The burial service will be followed by a private burial, the statement said. Final funeral rites will also be held on the same day.
