Mercy Johnson’s ban lifted

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has been left to walk around free as movie marketers who banned her have raised the ban from her head. NET reports more on marketers lifting the ban.

Nollywood leading lady, Mercy Johnson who has been at loggerheads with movie marketers has resolved her conflict with the body, which consequently enables her to feature in movies again.

The Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria said that the ban has since been lifted after Mercy apologized for her perceived excesses.

The spokesman for FVPMAN, Norbert  Ajaegbu said in a statement, ‘The disagreement between producers/marketers and Mercy Johnson finally ends following the FVPMAN’s national working committee meeting, held on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Mercy having diligently concluded all the jobs in dispute leaves us with no choice than to accept her apology.’

Speaking further about the star actress, he said, ‘She is one wonderful personality we would not want to join issues with. She knows when to say sorry. She has concluded all that we asked her to do. We have directed our members to resume all the previous existing relationship with her.’
The Movie marketers banned Mercy Johnson from acting allegedly for being ‘too expensive’.

Since lifting the ban, the actress is reported to have received several scripts in the space of one week.
