MUSIGA holds Retreat

The Senior Communications Specialist of the World Bank in Ghana, Kofi Tsikata has urged the National Executive Committee of the Musicians Union of Ghana, MUSIGA to leave a lasting legacy for the music industry in Ghana.

Mr Tsikata noted that within the two years the administration had been in office under the leadership of President Obour, it had chalked some significant milestones. He cited some of these as the ongoing Music Industry Survey by KPMG, the preparations for the MUSIGA Academy and the Ghana Music Week.

Mr Tsikata was speaking at a two day retreat for MUSIGA Executives held at the Aqua Safari Resort in Ada from Thursday January 23rd to Friday 24th, 2014.

The retreat presented the National Executive Committee members the opportunity to review the past year and look at the plan for 2014 dubbed AJUMAPA 2014.

The MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour called on the executives to reaffirm their commitment to the goals of the Union. He advised them to ensure that all the aspirations of the Union are met.

Some of the issues discussed included revenue mobilization, membership drive and unity in the music industry.

The retreat was attended by all the National Executive Committee members.
