Just after D-Black dropped his sophomore album, he knocks off all the other African music giants on The Afribiz Charts to make his way to the number one spot with his smash hit – VERA, on which he featured label mate Joey-B and as if that was not enough, on the same day, #VERA was officially a trending topic on twitter, in UK following his last month visit to the London to promote the record.
The night before the release of the album saw a Media launch at the plush Movenpick Ambassador Hotel which brought together some of the most revered names in Ghanaian showbiz. The was also a media premiere for the much anticipated video for his hit single ‘Change Your Life’ ft EL. The music video shot in South Africa a few weeks back is set to be premiered on Friday the 21st of December 2012. On the night, D-Black really proved the worth of ‘THE REVELATION’. Featured on this masterpiece are musical giants from Africa and the U.S.A : Ghana’s own Efya, Raquel, Sarkodie, El, Kwaw Kese, Edem, Asem, Joey B and Kesse. From Nigeria – Mo’ Cheddah, Ice Prince, Skales, Waje, Kel, Sammie and Muna . From South Africa – L-Tido , Fally Ipupa from Congo and Salah Edin from Morocco. All the way from the U.S.A came Wale, Gudda Gudda, Dj Webstar, Sheek Louch and Rell. Not forgetting label mates Joey-B, Dein, Aj Omo Alajah and Ayraaba.
Then just hours after ‘The Revelation’ album officially arriving in stores nationwide, The Afribiz Charts announce via their official twitter handle ( @Afribizcharts ) that D-Black snatches the number 1 in Africa spot their charts, tweeting ,” @DBLACKGH is the 1st ever Artist in Ghana 2 make it 2 the #01 spot on the African Top50 Charts–>http://www.afribizcharts.com #week54 ” . Out of excitement D-Black tweeted,” VERA is number 1 on the African Charts !! Yaay!!!

Then just a few hours later, another wind of excitement hit the ‘VERA’ hit-maker! The song that made every girl with that name become very popular was officially trending in the UK on twitter! Over-excited fans jumped onto the trend and took snapshots of what they saw. #VERA had made it to the list of twitter trends, thanks to D-Black fans.
2012 has been a great year for the musician and his Black Avenue Muzik label. ‘The Revelation’ album is in stores nationwide now and on i-Tunes. Fans can surely get a copy at the Silverbird Lifestyle Stores.
