Ezone Electronics Ghana, hub of premium electronics in Ghana,served as the official sponsor of the JE Wilson Ghana International Series Badminton Tournament held at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) Sports Center in Tema from 12-15 July, 2018.
The JE Wilson Ghana International Series was the first International tournament in Badminton to be ever hosted in Ghana. The four-day global badminton tournament attracted over 154 international players from over 21 countries including India, Malaysia, Belgium, Portugal, USA, and Nigeria.

At Ezone Ghana, we believe in the power of sports to draw people of different ethnicities, political and religious beliefs together for a common goal,” shares Vijay Bhagchandani, Manager of Ezone Ghana.

India’s Badminton team won four gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals to top the medal table of the competition while Ghana’s team won a silver and a bronze medal in Women’s doubles.
Mr Evans Yeboah, President of BAG in an interview with the GNA Sports said the Association were excited with the feat achieved in making the tournament a reality, adding that, hosting the tournament gave a lot of prospect to the future of the sport in Ghana.
“It was extremely historic for Ghana to host such a big tournament. We expect that this tournament will serve as pedestal for us to move the sport and grow it in the country,” said Evans Yeboah, President of The Badminton Association of Ghana, the governing body of badminton in Ghana founded in 1974 under the auspices of the National Sports Council.
As the official event sponsor, Ezone Electronics provided a number of electronics and TV screens that was utilised at the event during the tournament.
